At Hope Point, we don't believe doctrine is meant to simply fill our heads with information. What we believe should shape the way we love God, treat people, build families and live on mission.

ABOUT GOD

THERE IS ONE GOD.

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons—the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and are one God.

ABOUT JESUS

JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD.

Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life and willingly gave Himself on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sin. He rose from the dead, ascended to Heaven and will return again as King.

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

THE HOLY SPIRIT
EMPOWERS THE CHURCH.

The Holy Spirit is present and active in the life of every believer. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to empower His Church to live boldly, grow in holiness and carry the Gospel to the world. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and His ongoing work in the lives of believers.

ABOUT SPIRITUAL GIFTS

THE HOLY SPIRIT STILL
GIVES GIFTS.

We believe the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to believers for the strengthening of the Church, the advancement of the Gospel and the glory of God.
Spiritual gifts should always operate in harmony with Scripture and with love, order and humility.

PEOPLE ARE CREATED
IN THE IMAGE OF GOD.

Every person is created by God with dignity, purpose and value. At the same time, all people have been affected by sin. Sin separates us from God and leaves us in need of His grace and salvation.

ABOUT SALVATION

SALVATION IS FOUND
IN JESUS.

Salvation is God's gift of grace. It cannot be earned through good works, self-improvement or religious effort. We receive forgiveness and new life by placing our faith in Jesus Christ, turning from sin and trusting Him as Lord.
